Maryland Route 175 is a 17-mile-long east–west road in central Maryland.

MD 175 begins at MD 3, just south of the latter's northern terminus at Interstate 97, known as Annapolis Road. It runs west as a two-lane suburban highway, passing through local neighborhoods and north of Arundel High School before widening into a four-lane suburban arterial south of Odenton. After entering Odenton, the route passes through a shopping district before intersecting the southern terminus of MD 170 Telegraph Rd., a direct route to the western edge of BWI Airport and Linthicum. Beyond MD 170, MD 175 interchanges with the Patuxent Freeway, MD 32, near Fort Meade.
Beyond MD 170, MD 175 continues west and runs into Fort Meade. Inside the fort, the route meets the southern terminus of MD 174, which runs north into Glen Burnie, intersecting MD 3 Business near MD 100. After exiting the fort, the route intersects MD 713, a north–south route that runs between the fort and Arundel Mills Mall.
Exiting Fort Meade, MD 175 runs northwest through suburban neighborhoods before interchanging with the Baltimore-Washington Parkway just north of its maintenance changeover point between MDOT SHA and the National Park Service. Continuing west, and now known as Jessup Road, the route runs through Jessup, crossing the B&O route to Washington D.C. at the Howard County line.
After crossing the B&O, the route is now known as Waterloo Road, and passes to the south of the Maryland House of Correction, before intersecting U.S. 1 in Waterloo. After intersecting US 1, MD 175 widens into a four-lane arterial highway and interchanges with Interstate 95 just west of Waterloo, then intersects the eastern terminus of MD 108 just beyond I-95.
Now known as Rouse Parkway, the route interchanges with Columbia Gateway Drive and Snowden River Parkway in quick succession, before passing through a large shopping district in eastern Columbia, including Columbia Crossing I and II and Dobbin Center.
After intersecting Dobbin Road, MD 175 continues west as a four-lane at-grade expressway through the Columbia suburbs, intersecting Tamar Drive and Thunder Hill Road before interchanging with U.S. 29 at a cloverleaf interchange. Just beyond the interchange, MD 175 reaches its western terminus, with the road itself continuing southwest through the Columbia town center as Little Patuxent Parkway. Some maps, including Google Maps, show the name Little Patuxent parkway applying to Route 175. However, this is incorrect, as that name only applies to the road beyond the state route's terminus. Signage posted just west of the US 29 interchange indicates the change.

Before World War II, MD 175 ran northeast from Fort Meade along MD 713; the current route through Fort Meade did not exist, and MD 175 south of the fort's boundaries was designated as Maryland Route 180. By the end of the 1940s, MD 180 had been decommissioned after the construction of MD 175 through the fort.
North of Fort Meade, MD 175 once traversed MD 108 and MD 104 to terminate at MD 103. After the construction of the Little Patuxent Parkway (now Rouse Parkway), MD 175 was diverted away from this route and into Columbia, terminating on the western edge of its interchange with US 29.
In May 2006, the approximately four-mile stretch of MD 175 between I-95 and U.S. 29 in Columbia was renamed the Rouse Parkway in honor of Jim and Patty Rouse.
There are plans to widen and improve the road between Maryland Route 170 in Odenton and the Baltimore Washington Parkway in Jessup due to the increasing development in and around Fort Meade. The changes to the fort, mainly as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure program instituted by the U.S. government, will add to already elevated traffic levels on the route, particularly between the B-W Parkway and MD 170 Telegraph Rd. The Maryland State Highway Administration's plans to widen the road are contingent on planning studies currently underway in the affected area.
